Blocked export routes to China... The game industry is getting more worried.

The game industry is facing deepening woes. While sales in China, which weighs heavily on exports, are on the decline, the spread of the new Korona virus from China has also blocked the way to solve the issue. To make matters worse, a series of Taiwanese game shows have been cancelled to replace the blocked export route to China.

According to industries on the 4th, exports of Korean games to China, Taiwan and Hong Kong are decreasing. Nexon’s "Dungeon & Fighter," a leading Korean game popular in China, posted 1.239.4 trillion won in sales in 2018, but both the monthly net users (MAU) and ARPPU (a monthly average payment per person) declined last year.

The entry of new games into China is completely blocked. According to GameLook, a total of 1,570 games were licensed in China in 2019. Panho is the right to serve games within China. There were 1,385 games in China and 185 games in foreign countries. Out of only 11 percent of overseas games, the number of Korean games is zero. Only one edition has not been issued since February 2017. According to related industries, more than 20 games have been applied for by Korean game companies such as NCsoft, Netmarble and Perlubis.

On the other hand, Chinese-made games are highly aggressive in targeting Korea. On February 3, Google Play ranked sales in terms of ▲Lineage 2M ▲Lineage MMRise of ▲Rise of Kings킹 Miracle ▲V4 ▲V4 ▲One-Way, and half of the top six are games by Chinese developers. Among the top 20 mobile games in Korea in 2018, Chinese games such as _Samgukji M _ Girls’ Front _ the winner _ are also listed.
